KONTRIBUSI WWF DALAM KONSERVASI EKOSISTEM DARAT DI TAMAN NASIONAL SEBANGAU KALIMANTAN TENGAH (2018-2023)

Abstract
Taman Nasional Sebangau di Kalimantan Tengah merupakan salah satu ekosistem penting yang mengalami ancaman serius akibat kebakaran hutan, perambahan lahan, dan pembalakan liar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tantangan dan upaya konservasi yang dilakukan untuk melestarikan kawasan ini, dengan fokus pada peran WWF dan mitranya. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur untuk mengumpulkan data terkait pengelolaan kawasan konservasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tantangan besar dihadapi, upaya konservasi yang melibatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal dan kolaborasi multipihak menunjukkan hasil yang positif. Keberlanjutan pelestarian Taman Nasional Sebangau hanya dapat tercapai melalui pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan teknologi canggih, penguatan kapasitas pemerintah dan masyarakat, serta dukungan dari sektor swasta dan lembaga internasional. Penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi untuk model pengelolaan kawasan konservasi yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan, serta kebijakan yang lebih efektif untuk pelestarian Taman Nasional Sebangau di masa depan.
