Efektivitas menghidupkan kembali metode pembelajaran klasik dalam pendidikan kristen: Pendekatan pedagogis historis di Indonesia

Abstract
Pendidikan Kristen di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai agama dengan tuntutan pendidikan modern. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat mengatasi tantangan ini adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran klasik, khususnya Trivium, yang terdiri dari Tata Bahasa, Logika, dan Retorika. Metode ini menekankan tidak hanya pada keterampilan akademik, tetapi juga pada pengembangan karakter siswa secara holistik.
Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerapan metode Trivium dalam pendidikan Kristen di Indonesia dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis, keterampilan retorika, dan pengembangan karakter moral siswa. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, studi kasus dilakukan di tiga sekolah, umum, sekolah rumah, BKPM kesemuanya berbasis Kristen. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen kurikulum serta hasil belajar siswa.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Trivium secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kemampuan komunikasi, dan karakter siswa. Metode ini juga terbukti efektif dalam mengatasi tantangan konteks multi-etnis dan multi-agama di Indonesia, mendukung pendidikan Kristen yang holistik.
