Makna Teologis Istilah “Marya” dalam Matius 1:18–25: Analisis Leksikal pada Teks Syriac Peshitta

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna teologis istilah Marya (ܡܪܝܐ) dalam Matius 1:18–25 pada teks Syriac Peshitta melalui pendekatan analisis leksikal. Kajian ini berangkat dari keterbatasan penelitian sebelumnya yang lebih banyak menyoroti aspek leksikografi istilah Marya tanpa mengaitkannya secara khusus dengan konteks naratif dalam Injil. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan hermeneutika Alkitab dan analisis leksikal terhadap teks Syriac Peshitta. Data dianalisis dengan menelaah perbedaan bentuk kata Mar, Mara, dan Marya, serta konteks penggunaannya dalam narasi kelahiran Yesus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa istilah Marya memiliki struktur morfologis khusus yang membedakannya dari gelar manusia biasa dan berfungsi sebagai representasi linguistik dari nama ilahi dalam tradisi Syriac. Dalam Matius 1:18–25, penggunaan istilah tersebut menegaskan bahwa peristiwa kelahiran Yesus dipahami sebagai tindakan langsung dari Allah dalam sejarah keselamatan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Syriac memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk pemahaman kristologis dalam tradisi Kristen Timur.
